🐴 Welcome to our newest addition 🐴 Our lovely filly Caffi joined us last week 💗. She’s a youngster, so is now out in the field with her mates, chilling out and enjoying some autumn grazing. Next month we will bring her in so we can get to know each other better. She’s a little shy, but curious and likes a good scratch on her neck. We're taking our time establishing a firm foundation from which we can build a productive relationship - it's a slow process, but our patience will pay off in the long run.

Five is a magic number! - five fingers, starfish have five arms, and we have lived Rebel Legal for five years. So what five things have we learned? 1. Patience We’ve learned to be patient with ourselves and each other, embracing the journey of continuous growth and improvement. 2. Resilience We've understood that failure is part of the process and that we won't always get things right the first time. 3. Trust We’ve trust each other to deliver exceptional work and to be operationally exceptional. We have earned the trust of our clients in return. 4. Joy We’ve found joy in our work, our relationships and our journey. 5. Gratitude We never take this for granted. It does not get better than this – a team of inspiring professionals, and clients doing exceptional things.

Last night we won! In a hostelry (not) far far away. OK, pub quiz rather than an industry award, but still take it. And it was all about Star Wars movies and lore. Not a subject I know much about. We didn't win by having one expert ringer. Although true, half the team nailed the vast majority of the questions. The winning difference was the contribution of all the team. Some gave fewer answers, yes, but the correct ones to the trickier questions about more obscure facts. Great thing about a performing team - the importance of recognising the importance and value of all contributions. #teamwork

So here’s the funniest thing. I’ve been working on partnerships with different brands to get their products in front of our customers. For each product category, I’m looking to partner with two brands: two dispensaries, two edible companies, two pre-roll companies, two vape cartridge brands, two flower suppliers, two cannabis beverage brands—you get the idea. There’s one company I’ve really been wanting to work with, been working them all summer but I wasn’t getting anywhere with them. So naturally, I started reaching out to other companies. This week I got on the phone with one of them and after a quick conversation the deal was done. It couldn’t have been smoother! I love the simplicity of a straightforward deal. In business, when things line up, you just know immediately. It feels right. On the flip side, if something feels too hard or too complicated, it might not be the deal for you. It may not be the partnership for you. That’s why it’s so important to trust your instincts and have a bit of discernment. Not every opportunity is the right fit, and knowing when to walk away is just as valuable as knowing when to dive in. Overall, it’s been a fantastic week. I ran tours, made people happy, and closed an important deal. Here’s to more wins ahead! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend 😘

A few months into my new part-time job….. Recently I was selected as Director of Operations and Quality Control in the Diaper Division at Haynes Inc., I’ve gained insight which has helped me grow as a professional. Here are five beneficial truths I’ve further cemented in life and in business: 1. Patience truly is a virtue. 2. It can get messy…. breathe, proceed promptly with dignity and grace. 3. In a collaborative effort, always be aware of your team member’s needs via communication and transparency. 4. Not all cries are created equal- listen carefully to find the solution to the most glaring problem. 5. The power of a smile has the ability to transcend words.

Today marks 2✌ years at Crumbl for me! 🎉 We joke that 2 years at Crumbl is like 10 years anywhere else, and I can definitely say it feels like I've had a decade's worth of growing and learning since my first day. The day I started at Crumbl, news of our litigation for trademark infringement broke and the "Cookie Wars" started (remember that?) and there has not been a slow day since! There's been highs and lows in every sense of the word: in sales, KPIs, morale, number of desserts eaten, etc, and not a day goes by that I don't count this job as one of my many blessings. My favorite part? I get to work with INCREDIBLE humans every single day. Not only super talented and smart people, but genuinely GOOD people, who make me laugh and smile and who make me feel cared for. It's also so FUN to work at a company with such a loyal following, knowing that the work we do each day gets viewed and reacted to by millions of people every week. TL;DR: I love my job and don't take the opportunity to be doing what I do lightly. And we're only getting started!

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭. I went from factory work and lugging salt bags to a professional sales and marketing position where I developed interpersonal skills, negotiation, and how to appeal to work with older adults. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫… (1) Having the mindset that expressing your needs is not you versus them it’s us two working with each other to make a better situation. (2) Think of everyone as a person rather than a “client” every interaction I try to build relationships, and make friends with people. (3) It almost never hurts to just ask. Being able to confidently handle objections with confidence has boosted my self-esteem tremendously. I am becoming less of a pushover in my personal and professional life. 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. My self-esteem has definitely skyrocketed because the skills I’ve learned have helped separated me from peers.” - Joseph Cartwright, Sales Manager (South Bend, IN)
