Weekend Wisdom: The windshield is much wider and clearer than the rear view mirror. Whether you had a good day or bad day yesterday, a good week or bad week, learn from it and do your part to make today a better day. Allen’s challenge is to ask yourself and reflect on these questions EVERY day : 1. What did I learn from yesterday? 2. What am I going to do to apply what learned today? Make it a good day, or not. The choice is yours. Make your day today by making a difference in someone else’s day. Have a wonderful weekend! #allenschallenge #Weekendwisdom #WonderfulWeekend #MakeADifference #learn #applytoday #windshield #havefun #doyourpart #makeitagoodday #choiceisyours

Started the Dryer last Sunday morning only to realize *click click* it won’t turn on 🤔…. Hmmmm…the fridge works, but the oven and microwave don’t….the TV works but the heat doesn’t 🤷🏽♀️ What a fun real life escape room adventure, several family troubleshooting hours and then a work order to #Dominion later to discover half of our house was without electricity. Never heard of that before 😂. We were planning on doing taxes but c’est la vie instead we are having a full day power adventure 💫 As the sun began to set 🌅, I saw high fives outside and smiles and I knew…. They found the problem! Hooray! Huge shoutout and many thanks and gratitude to #Dominion for coming out so quickly and working hard on a Sunday to get our heat, oven & microwave back on 😁 Staying Flexible & Adaptable in the face of change to your day is important and provides a chill factor to everyone around you manifesting the best outcomes possible. So, how can you practice these skills? ✅ Joy Tank - Have you filled up your joy and fun tank with gas so you can dip into those reserves to be flexible & adaptable later? ✅ Plan - Yes counterintuitive however having multiple plans available allows you to flex more easily when 1 plan goes awry ✅ Practice - In small chunks practice flexing the same way you would in the gym (small weights at first and a few sets) Ex: Invite a friend to show up at your house randomly one weekend between the hours of 9am-11am for a tea or coffee May your weekend go smoothly and if not, may you develop the skills so it does 😄 #Gratitude #Flexibility #Adaptability #EQ

What’s working on Chris this week? As we start a new week, I want to share something that’s been on my mind after rereading The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon this weekend. The book reminded me how important it is to be energy bus drivers in our personal and professional lives. Being an energy bus driver means you’re driving positivity, enthusiasm, and kindness throughout the day. You’re setting the tone, lifting others, and creating a space where both your colleagues and clients can thrive. It’s an active choice to steer the bus in the right direction. On the flip side, being an energy vampire drains the energy of those around you. Negativity, complaints, or lack of effort don’t just affect your day—they take a toll on everyone. And when that happens, it’s hard to keep the bus moving forward. When we drive energy, we help each other feel motivated, valued, and empowered. That’s where real progress happens, and our clients will feel it too. This aligns with our values of being kind, positive and encouraging. So this week, let’s all focus on being energy bus drivers. Let’s keep the bus moving in the right direction, support each other, and keep creating a positive space for all. Be well, Chris #energybusdriver #jongordon #positivity #mondaymessage

Thought for the Day: The Joys of the Pressure Washer "I like to work hard and see the results of my hard work." - Erin Heatherton One of the clearest signs that I’m growing older is the evolution of things I like in life. No longer do I look forward to a weekend filled with late night escapades, now I’m excited when I have the chance to go to bed early. I used to like clothes based on what was trending, now my primary driver is comfort. I don’t get excited about spending hours watching tv or playing video games, now I get excited about house projects. This past weekend was a weekend where I had some time to get some work done around the house. At the top of my list was pressure washing our sidewalk and driveway. I’ll admit that I had a borderline unhealthy excitement about this task, but pressure washing is so great. I didn’t stumble on the joys of pressure washing until about a decade ago, and I’m sad it took me that long. The thing that I enjoy the most about pressure washing is the instant gratification. The moment you hit the first spot you can see the change (there’s also the fascination of just how dirty things are). You know that what you’re doing has a tangible benefit. Combine that with the peace that comes with repetition and suddenly you’re on the verge of a therapeutic exercise. It’s the modern day zen garden. Why is pressure washing so fulfilling? Deep down I think we all want what we do to matter. We want to know that there’s something that comes out of the effort that we are putting in. For so many things in life, the fruits of our efforts aren’t readily visible. I won’t see the how my small task fits into the outcomes of our larger project at work anytime soon. The time and energy I pour into my kids won’t show for years to come. And our investments for our future won’t have returns that matter until we get met much closer to retirement. All of those things are important, but we see little to no short term benefit. I think it’s healthy to sprinkle in exercises where we receive that validation. Whether it be pressure washing or some other short-term task, finding the joy in seeing change is worth it.
