Our lying & crooked Prez!! Destinations Identified for Illegal Alien Flights According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies, Florida has been reported as the top landing zone for illegal aliens flown secretly into the country as part of a Biden administration program. Amelia McKenzie reports that as of February, 326,000 of these individuals were flown to Miami. The Department of Homeland Security has refused to acknowledge these flights, but Members of Congress have spoken out against it. This secretive program was designed by the Biden administration in an effort to reduce the southern border crossing numbers by flying illegal aliens into the U.S. Once they arrive, the aliens are released on "parole" and can receive two-year renewable work authorizations. Houston is the second-highest destination for these flights (21,964 individuals), followed by Los Angeles (8,382). The aliens are coming from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Ecuador.

Several passionate conversations about the US-Mexico border the last couple days. Many with people that live very, very far from the border (we live 1.3 hours away from Nogales). A lot of “misunderstandings”, rhetoric and mis-information fueling the “close the southern border” mantra. I started researching both our land borders: Cañada and Mexico. Some facts to consider: 1) There is an average of $600B+ (yes, billion) of trade that crosses Mexico border the Canadian DAILY. 2) The Canadian border is twice as long as the Mexican border. 3) The Canadian border has 76 designated crossing points, Mexico 22. 4) There is far more commerce and people coming across the Canadian border on a daily basis. 5) It is considered far, far easier to cross the Canadian border either through designated ports or otherwise. 6) The true amount of “illegal immigration” across Canadian border is unknown as many areas (13 states worth) are exposed and not “policed”. 7) Current immigration processes are antiquated…people, processes, tools, technology and infrastructure upgrades & increases needed across the board. Many US administrations attempted to irreversibly fix border/immigration situation(s) for over 100 years with the last proposal just 9 months ago. The coming administration’s proposed solution is to “close” and “wall” the southern border. Summary: Your taxes will be used to “close”mthe southern border in effort to stop flow of “illegal immigration” via National Guard and Wall building. This will slow daily commerce ultimately cutting back flow of goods (supply cut= cost increases) and hindering the economy. It doesn’t do anything to reduce or vast exposure to the north. The policy does not take into account or reality of the immigrants coming to this country. (See my previous post for more about migrants and immigration impacts to our economy.) Your tax money will be spent to slow our economy, supply of goods/labor, and drive increase of unknown activity through our open yard to the north. A better approach, in my opinion, is to demand our taxes be used to fix the problem….more border patrol personnel, technology to root out drug traffic, dramatic upgrades to immigration technologies/processes/infrastructure, and increased technology surveillance at our exposed points north and south.

Travelers hoping to skip long lines at U.S. airports with Global Entry will now have to shell out more money. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) increased the cost to apply or renew its Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) – which includes Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI – Tuesday for the first time in over 15 years, according to a news release. The three programs had been set at different price points, but a rule passed on April 2 "harmonizing the fees" to each cost $120 went into effect Oct. 1.

Adjustments to Canada-US border crossing hours set for 2025 Effective January 6, 2025, significant changes to the operational hours of 35 Canada-US land ports of entry will take place, impacting various provinces and states. This collaborative effort between the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) aims to optimize resource allocation, enhance border security, and improve operational efficiency. The adjustments reflect a long-term strategy to better accommodate travel and trade demands while addressing evolving security challenges. The revised hours, customized for each port, reflect a detailed analysis of travel and trade patterns. For example, ports in Alberta like Del Bonita will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. Similarly, British Columbia ports such as Cascade will function between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. In Manitoba, South Junction will extend hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while smaller ports like Lena will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. These schedules were determined based on historical traffic data, peak usage times, and enforcement needs. Quebec will see longer operational windows at high-traffic locations such as Lacolle Route 221, which will stay open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. In New Brunswick, ports like St. Croix will remain accessible from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. year-round. Saskatchewan ports will follow seasonally adjusted schedules, with changes corresponding to daylight saving time. What it means for travelers The changes are expected to streamline cross-border processes but may pose challenges for frequent travelers. Individuals engaging in "flagpoling," a practice where temporary residents re-enter Canada after a brief exit to expedite immigration services, will need to plan more carefully. Commercial transport operations are less likely to face disruptions as the CBSA has ensured minimal changes to critical trade routes.

The Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has fully implemented the Simplified Arrival program across all U.S. airports. This initiative implements the following changes: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆: CBP has stopped using traditional ink entry stamps in passports to record entry into the U.S. Instead, foreign nationals now rely on electronic I-94s to verify their authorized duration of stay. With stampless entry, travelers must use their electronic I-94 alongside CBP travel history as evidence of entries and exits from the U.S. 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀: While electronic travel history and Form I-94 records are crucial, errors can occur. Travelers experiencing discrepancies can rectify them through the local deferred inspection process or the centralized Traveller Communication Center (TCC) via the "Ask a Question" web page. The elimination of paper Form I-94s has presented challenges for certain statuses like T and U visa applicants. Despite safety concerns, CBP inconsistently issues paper I-94s to these individuals. A system enhancement is in progress to address this issue, but applicants are encouraged to proactively request paper Form I-94s from supervisors in the interim. 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹: CBP has introduced a suite of mobile applications aimed at streamlining various documentation and admission processes. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Before downloading any app, it is crucial to review privacy policies, so you understand how your information is being collected and used.
