Platypus Craft and Evoy have joined forces to bring the semi-submersible concept to life. Originally conceived over a decade ago, the 28-foot semi-submersible could be cruising the seas by early 2025. The design includes a two-person cockpit that can be lowered below the waterline for an underwater experience, eliminating the need for diving gear or certification. This design, combined with user-friendly breathing mechanisms, makes underwater exploration accessible to all without requiring diving certifications. Powered by twin Evoy Outboard Breeze 120+ electric motors and two 63KW batteries, the vessel can reach a top speed of 25 knots and cruise at 15 knots on the surface. When the submersible basket is deployed, the speed slows to 3 to 5 knots, ideal for observing marine life over distances of 30 to 80 nautical miles. #platypuscraft #evoy #boat #underwateradventure #UnderwaterExploration #underwaterlife #electricboat

The front of the bullet train was designed to mimic the kingfishers beak as it helps reduced noise leaving tunnels. The guy who designed it was a proper twitcher and noticed how little splash the kingfishers created when diving in the water. Lesson for us all… want to find solutions to problems? Get out in #nature and see how it achieves the same outcome. #somuchtolearn
