This innovative design could significantly enhance traffic flow efficiency and reduce commute times. Additionally, it might lower fuel consumption and emissions by minimizing idle times at intersections. It will be interesting to see how this concept integrates with autonomous vehicle technology for even greater optimization.

insightful ... will be also interesting to show the criss-cross movements of pedestrians ... showing the interrelational flow on both sides of a street and the interaction with buildings, especially the ground floor level.

A quick visual on efficiency: streets in today's cities are designed to accommodate the LEAST EFFICIENT mode of transport. Changing the mix is the cheapest and easiest way to move more people.

As a taxpayer, where do we prefer to spend our money for? in addition to the difference between required infrastructure, it needs to accomplish a survey among different districts to identify the preference of those taxpayers on what transportation mode to use. #transportation #transit

I've seen this solution for road space in several posts and the argument that transitway is the most effecient way to address the limited road space. However, design solution should not be seen in isolation of the whole system to ensure practicallity. For example, when you use the public transportation you face several challenges, such as delays, cancellations, waiting time, connected trips, the long trips and the distance you walk to the nearest stop. All these are pain points need to addressed in order to design an effecient but also practical solution.

Marco Te Brömmelstroet 's post highlights a critical insight into urban space efficiency, and public transport plays a central role in achieving this vision. Specifically, I believe by prioritizing public transit over car-centric infrastructure, cities can free up valuable space for people, #green_areas, and #community_activities. Public transportation supports a more connected, sustainable city where space is used efficiently for everyone—not just for vehicles. This shift leads to cleaner, more vibrant urban environments, benefiting residents, local businesses, and the planet. 🚐🚅🚋🌳
