I would rather have hard working colleagues who finish their work during their 4-day work week than have colleagues wasting their time working 5 days a week from the office. Reading the news, scrolling through social media and "catching up" with colleagues over coffee for hours per week. Business as usual, right?☕ Research has shown that 40% of our working hours are not productive. And for people who work from the office this can even increase to 69% of non-productivity! 🤯 It's time we stop just counting someone's working hours and start focusing solely on their productivity. When I say that at Webpower Adria we work fully remote and "only" 4 days a week - people often think we work less than people who work "full-time". Truth is, my team is most likely more productive than a team that spends 40 hours per week in the office. 💡 Do you think you could get your job done during a 4-day work week? 👍🏻 #Productivity #remotework #4dayworkweek #entrepreneurship #LivingTheCroatianDream 🇭🇷

BREAKING NEWS Germany is going to trial a 4 day work week to increase productivity! Personally, I love it. The 40 hr work week is a bit of an archaic working model, and does not apply to knowledge work (many office positions) People SHOULD and CAN get A LOT more done in less time. You'd think that doesn't make much sense, why would shortening the work week cause people to be more productive? 2 reasons 1. Parkinson's Law - The concept that work expands to fill the time given to complete it Currently, that time to fill is 40 hours. I have spoken to DOZENS of people on this. From large to small companies, and simply ask them. Can you, or do you currently complete your work under 40 hours. And nearly all of them respond, yes. 2. Office culture appeal to tradition Like meetings, many people believe the 40 hour workweek is the gold standard from productivity. What it really is is an old model of thinking. And it's mostly bullshit. I feel that is one of the reasons why the show The Office was so popular. It shined the comedic truth about what a lot of office work is. Michael Scott, the manager spends most of his days messing around and feigning work, as do many of the others. And he cringes every time he needs to actually do something. I understand it's a comedy and all, but there is a big sliver of truth in that. Why do people kill time in the office or at work just to fill a 40 hour week? Do you think you, your staff would be happier working less but simultaneously getting more done? Spending more time with your family, hobbies, and other passions? I think Germany is on the right track as other companies who have done this reported higher productivity. I'm curious to see how it goes. That in mind, whether you run an office or just work in one...think about this. Is it more important just to post time on the clock, or is it more important to actually get sh*t done? More on this soon. I'm not sure if anybody really knows what they are doing...All we really do is start stuff and figure it out along the way. Nobody is perfect, nobody has all the answers, but even still, you'll start getting more answers if you start somewhere. + + + #mhood #quotes #inspirationalquotes #life #philosophy #knowledge #wisdom #design #creativity #inspiration #motivation #consciousness #mood #mindset #keepgoing #attitude #mentality #dontquit #growth #think #goals #success #psychology #awareness #quoteoftheday #enlightenment #truth #teacher #successful #instagood
