As #naturalgas prices trade higher amid declining production, here's what we're paying attention to: LNG Outages ☑ Freeport LNG is undergoing a significant maintenance outage, reducing demand for #LNG feedgas ☑ Planned or unplanned LNG outages pose a bearish risk to #natgas prices, as a large amount of demand can be quickly erased Dry Gas Curtailment/Decline ☑ Natural gas production continues to move lower amid maintenance and a weak pricing environment, with output now below 100 Bcf/d ☑ Production may have to remain lower for longer to prevent storage levels from reaching near total capacity by the end of the injection season We deliver daily energy market highlights directly to your inbox for free, so that surprises in the market don't surprise you. ➡ Get Instant Access: https://hubs.li/Q02sqGXQ0

Gas supply for Q1 2025 tightens, as risk of shortfall in short-term remains The gas supply surplus in the Australian east coast gas market is forecast to be between 12 and 27 petajoules (PJ) in the first quarter of 2025, according to the ACCC’s latest gas inquiry report. The exact size of the surplus will largely depend on how much uncontracted gas is exported by Queensland LNG producers. The forecast for the supply surplus has fallen from the predicted surplus of 26-35 PJ, in the ACCC’s June 2024 gas report. This is largely due to an increase in contracted exports for this quarter and reflects the LNG producers’ ‘re-shaping’ of export cargoes between the domestic peak and off-peak gas demand periods..... https://bit.ly/3N521ZM #Australia #Gas Via accc.gov.au

UPI Chart of the Week 36-2024 The UP World LNG Shipping Index (UPI) has consistently risen within the Bollinger Bands (BB), a key indicator in our analysis. Although its upward momentum is slowing, and trading volume has decreased for the second time, the BB should be seen as a potential area for movement if no new information emerges. The UPI has been increasing for three consecutive weeks and likely requires a period of consolidation, but the BB shows an upward mid-term trend. 2wFinally a much needed uplift for Natural Gas. Too bad our sold out politicians don’t convince China to replace their use of coal for clean LNG.
