"The main challenge for zero-emission trucks is competing with traditional diesel engines in terms of performance and cost. Research and testing, like what we are doing with EMPOWER, are crucial to making zero-emission trucks a viable solution for the future". Ettore Gualandi, GRUBER Logistics. The focus is on the future of heavy-duty vehicles and zero-emission technology. We spoke with Ettore Gualandi from GRUBER Logistics, who is leading the real-world testing of our zero-emission trucks. At Gruber Logistics, they are testing new prototypes and proving that zero-emission trucks can handle real-world operations effectively. This project marks a significant step toward demonstrating that these trucks are flexible, reliable, and ready for widespread adoption. #EMPOWER is driving greener logistics and more sustainable transportation in one of the most challenging sectors to decarbonize. "Volvo to release long-range electric truck in 2025" Is electric the way to go for FTL/LTL transportation? I've often thought that portion of transportation would end up on hydrogen fuel cells but this news of a 600KM range truck from Volvo is certainly interesting. One thing is certain, we can't continue to operate on diesel if we are to meet our emissions reductions goals. It will be interesting to see more details about this truck and which carriers will be early adopters. Food for thought! #transportation #electrification #logistics #sustainability #decarbonisation
