Injecting fun mimicry into a product makes it relatable and interesting in the right ways. Not to "fool" to user into convincing them of a machine's emotions. The human will always know. Rather, (if done well) it's a tip-off to the user of the designer's thoughtful and playfully ways to tease the greatest user experience out when interacting with the product; a natural and reassuring interaction.

I have some thoughts on the closing of Muppet*Vision 3D.

Check out this incredible work from The Garage for the series finale of 'Servant', using the Bolt Cinebot and MRMC Tracker App! SPOILER WARNING – If you haven’t seen the show and want to avoid spoilers, stop reading here! Also, note that the final video in this post is quite graphic. The intense scene features a woman dancing alone in an attic, which then bursts into flames, engulfing the room.For safety and precision, the scene was split into two parts. First, the actress was filmed with a SnorriCam on the A-side attic set, giving a close-up, intense view with simulated flames. To capture that same dynamic movement on the B-side (an outdoor attic replica built to burn), the team needed to replicate every camera motion exactly. Using an iPhone running the MRMC Tracker app attached to the Snorri rig, they recorded the precise 3D movement data needed to recreate the shot in Flair and transfer it to the Bolt that could use its pixel-perfect repeatable movement to easily replicate the move on the B side. The VFX team, led by the legendary Julian Hermannsen, worked through the camera path to create a 360º turn with the Bolt being repositioned mid-shot to cover every angle. The final result is a beautifully blended scene with realistic fire and an incredible intensity that draws viewers into the moment, making for an epic series finale! #MotionControl #BoltCinebot #MRMCTrackerApp #Servant
