Happy New Year! 2023 was a difficult year, but here's a project that kept me company through all of it. Each shelf represents a month of 2023, and each bottle represents a day, color-coded based on the day's high temperature in my location (can you tell when I visited Miami?) The base pattern is from https://lnkd.in/eZuqYCSX, but I made several modifications to personalize it, which was a fun creative exercise since in previous cross-stitch projects I stuck more closely to patterns.

  • A large, colorful cross-stitch project on black fabric. It depicts 12 shelves of varyingly-shaped potion bottles and occasionally other objects, like potted plants. Near the top and bottom, most of the objects are purple, blue, and green; closer to the middle are more yellows and oranges.

So satisfying to look at all the bottles representing temperature.
