TikTok Shop Set to Launch in Ireland and Spain TikTok Shop was expected to expand across Europe this summer, but ByteDance paused its plans. Now, it's set to launch in Ireland and Spain in October, with more countries to follow next year. Initially launched in parts of Asia in early 2022, TikTok Shop expanded to the UK and US. However, further European expansion was delayed after disappointing results in the UK. This spring, TikTok invited merchants in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain to beta test, hinting at a broader European rollout. ByteDance then decided to focus on growing TikTok Shop in the US and managing regulatory concerns in Europe. According to Bloomberg, ByteDance has now informed partners to prepare for the launch in Ireland and Spain this October. Here are the key updates: Shipping Options Overview: TikTok Shop offers three main shipping methods: 1- Platform Shipping: This is the default option where TikTok handles order collection and delivery, while sellers manage storage. 2- Seller Shipping: An invite-only option for sellers who meet specific criteria, allowing them to manage logistics entirely, including warehousing and customer service. 3- Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT): Available only in the UK and US, this option allows TikTok to manage warehousing, packing, and delivery for a fee.
