Less is more Sometimes we have a tendency to overexplain Some of the best emails I’ve sent out were 1 line: ex: John, have you given up looking at the opportunity with COMPANY NAME? If your prospect hasn’t been answering you for a while, they’re likely bogged down with other priorities. Do you really want to send them another long email? It’ll be viewed as a chore to read Too long didn’t read (TLDR) 🙅♂️ Be concise and don’t beat around the bush🌳 #SDR #sales #email

🔑 I have changed 1 thing in my cold emails and it has brought me SO much success: I have been writing them at a 3rd grade level... Here's the thing. When you send an email to a prospect, you are competing with dozens of other SDRs. Chances are, your prospect isn't spending more than 10 seconds skimming your email (if they even open it in the first place). So, imagine their reaction when they receive a LONG email packed with industry jargon and complex language. It becomes an instant burden for your prospect to engage with. My rule of thumb is if a random person on the street can't understand it, I need to make it easier to read. 🦾 Next time you send an email, simplify it. Remove redundant words. And see the responses come in. #sdr #sales #sdrtips

Break-up Emails. Not the emails trying to let your significant other down easy, but rather those cold call emails that you swear is the first email a salesperson has sent you. It's time to ditch them. Seriously. They were creative and interesting when they were new, but now that everyone is doing it, they are just annoying. Additionally, if you're telling a prospect in a break-up email that this is it and there will not be any more contact, but then send that same email 5 more times, what are you telling your prospective clients? #salesops

Why cold email? - Rejection proof. Less dealing with rude responses like you would in cold-calling. - Automated and scalable: able to touch multiple prospects at once. - You don't need someone to pick up the phone to deliver the message. The message will be delivered regardless. - Long-term, high-value skill that can be applied to a variety of business avenues.

Is it just me or do you straight up delete the emails with the subject “quick question”? I receive so many with the same subject line on a weekly basis and it’s an instant red flag 🚩 It’s clearly a cold sales email and one most likely sent on mass. If you’re trying to sell on cold email, there are so many other subject lines you can use to hook someone. A tailored approach is always going to win over a generic one used by the masses. #coldemail #rantover

You know what might work if a cold call doesn't? Yep, cold emails! Use both methods together, but do it smartly. Oh, and if a prospect hangs up on you, drop them a quick email. You never know why they hung up. #sales #coldcall #coldemail
