"Two years in: Fleet reflects on operations since implementing EVs" Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is advancing fleet electrification with 39 Volvo VNR Electric trucks and plans to expand to 45. Since 2021, the company has invested $20 million in EVs, charging infrastructure, and a renewable energy microgrid. Challenges like permitting delays and equipment procurement were addressed through partnerships with InCharge, Scale Microgrids, and Shell Recharge. The EVs have improved driver satisfaction, retention, and safety while efficiently handling regional routes under 100 miles. Beyond electrification, QCD supports sustainability with renewable diesel, solar-powered equipment, and delivery optimizations, reinforcing its commitment to reducing emissions.
