Elywhere North America’s Post

More and more electric trucks are hitting California's roads 🔋 🚛 Congratulations to Volvo Trucks North America on adding another 70 vehicles to fleets across SoCal this week. The trucks will be used for regional drayage and are funded in part by the SWITCH-ON initiative, which is backed by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and contributed $21.5 million to the latest additions. Among the fleets that will benefit from the program are CEVA Logistics, Performance Team, and NFI. California's long-term EV plans call for all passenger vehicles to be zero-emission by 2035, while medium- and heavy-duty vehicles have a deadline of 2045 to reach that goal. As more HDEVs are added to the state's roads, getting high-power charging into existing depots, hubs, and commercial fueling properties is the next big challenge.
