🎈 Celebrations are an important way of recognizing a team’s achievements. We wanted to know how often our LinkedIn community members celebrate reaching milestones with their team at work so we opened a poll. These are the results: 🎉 36% of the people who took our poll say that they celebrate milestones with their team after a successful project. One of our company values here at #Nobel is to celebrate our success as often as we can. Whether it’s our annual company anniversary or a success regarding one of our projects, we always celebrate our accomplishments and the milestones we reach together as a team. ➡️ Learn more about #LifeAtNobel and our values on the website and blog here: https://nobelcareers.com/ #Nobel #NobelTeam #success #milestones #job #work #technology #tech #progress #growth #business

Be more interested than interesting. Early in my career, I was offered advice before stepping into the room of one of my first networking events. “Be more concerned about the other person. Learn about who they are, their accomplishments and challenges rather than focusing on yourself and trying to be impressive.” In other words, be more interested than interesting. This was a revelation for me after the constant worry, I experienced whenever I stepped into a room full of strangers. It felt like I needed to impress people with education or training, career success, or the latest personal accomplishments that would all be spelled out in a way to ‘wow’ the other person. Instead, what I needed to focus on when speaking with people, especially for the first time, was to be more fascinated by their story, their experiences, and their perspectives. I needed to ask questions and dig deeper into their shared stories and details. A few examples of my go-to questions that have been game-changers for me include: · What inspired you to get into the work that you’re doing? · What do you enjoy most about your work? · What skills have you found to be essential for your success? · (And a fun one) What is the most app used on your phone (besides Outlook/phone/messaging)? As my career has unfolded, this approach has allowed me to learn from the countless insights and perspectives of individuals I have been fortunate to meet instead of focusing on finding the space to wow them with my own. With this approach, the impact can be profound on the impression we make, the knowledge we learn, and the relationship that can be founded. Along with 25 business and life lessons learned, we are also sharing 25 fun, nostalgic and heartwarming memories to celebrate our silver anniversary.
