I’ve worked in the recruitment industry since 2021, specializing in PHP Developers and then SaaS Tech with a focus in Security and Insurtech when needed. Recently I have been empowered to choose a market of focus that aligns with me. I've decided to move into the climate technology space, and I can honestly say I feel energised to be part of something that’s making such a tangible impact on our planet’s future. I’ve recently noticed a handful of companies making the shift towards a more inclusive application practice. How? By providing space on their career page for all talent to apply, regardless if a position for their skillset is open or not. Yes, keeping a door open may require some additional monitoring, but what job posting doesn’t? ✨ Best part, it doesn’t require top resources to execute: "Interested in working with us but don’t see an open opportunity for you? Give us your resume, we’d love to hear from you!" 📝 (general application included). "Don’t see a fitting open role? Join our talent community — we will be sourcing from this community for upcoming opportunities." 🌐 (general application included). Less effort, but still a valid approach: “email jobs@ to connect with us.” (here’s to hoping someone is actually monitoring this inbox!🤞). Opening up a pipeline for talent to easily approach your recruiting department seems like a no-brainer and I am excited to see this concept evolve. Ever been there? Recently, I was advising a talented developer on her next career move. She finds an intriguing job listing—sounds great, and checks all the technical boxes. But then, you dig deeper, and... crickets. No reviews, no insights, just a shiny website with minimal substance.
