In the UK, Women in the tech sector, are underrepresented. We are making progress though.. Woman account for around 19% of the tech workforce in the UK and 28% globally, with 16% in engineering and 27% in computing leadership roles. Although there’s been an effort to encourage an increase in bridging the gender pay gap, men still earn roughly 25% more in tech roles on average. Here at Matchtech we are doing what we can to narrow the divide, by hosting events to support more inclusion, mentorship, networking and innovation within the industry for women. We are working hard to empower women in technical roles by offering support networks and bringing woman together.
