In the spring of 2021 we held pilot meetings in the Northeastern region of Minnesota. Soon after, in the summer of 2021 through the spring of 2022, we traveled (virtually) across rural Minnesota region by region. Then, in early fall we held meetings in the metro counties and areas. These convenings created connections with women, strategies to better support each other, explored existing formal and informal networks, and identified barriers and opportunities to overcome. Two topics that were especially discussed were woman leadership and the importance of mentorship. Additionally, in light of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we discussed the challenges of COVID and what positives we can take forward. Our goal was to ignite action in community, leadership, civic engagement, and rural entrepreneurship, while simultaneously identifying opportunities and connecting women with each other. Founder and CEO of Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy and Terrance Stone School and Community Consultants, Terrance Stone, recently spoke to High Desert Youth about the significance of persevering towards your goals and dreams, despite negative influences that may try to derail you. Mr. Stone's message was clear: don't let anything stop you from achieving your aspirations. Negative influences can come in many forms, such as peer pressure, societal norms, and even self-doubt. However, it's important to stay focused on your goals and not give in to these negative influences. As the CEO of two organizations that focus on youth leadership and community development, Mr. Stone has seen firsthand the positive impact that can come from staying true to your goals and dreams. His message resonated with the High Desert Youth, inspiring them to stay motivated and persevere towards their own aspirations. Remember, it's important to stay focused on your goals and not let negative influences hold you back. Keep pushing forward and striving towards your dreams!

Futures Ignite amplifies youth and community power by inspiring, guiding, and advocating for youth to determine their college, career, and leadership futures. Futures Ignite provides leadership development, enrichment opportunities, career exploration, and college/postsecondary counseling for NYC youth in their high schools and communities. We work directly in schools, serving as the college, career, and leadership hub for WHEELS, our founding school partner, and IN-Tech Academy. These principles guide our work: Place Matters: We are embedded inside the school, our staff works from our school-based office, and we collaborate closely with students, teachers, and families daily. Our community matters. We invest in every student: We use a holistic, positive youth development approach that equips students to achieve momentum and persistence to reach their postsecondary goals, no matter where they are starting from. Long-Term Commitment: We are a long-term school partner, committed to achieving postsecondary student outcomes above and beyond any one contract or funding source. #NonprofitLeadership #YouthDevelopment #EducationalEquity #CommunityImpact #FuturesIgnite

Once Meles Zenawi wisely said, 'The future of our nation is determined by the dreams of our youth.' It is our collective duty to foster environments where young minds are encouraged to dream big and work hard to bring those dreams to fruition. Let's continue investing in youth development, as they are the foundation of tomorrow’s progress and innovation. #AbriMinds #Leadership #YouthEmpowerment #FutureLeaders #Inspiration #ProfessionalDevelopment #MelesZenawi"

I've said it many times, Primarc is a people-first company that prioritizes our employees as much as our customers. That’s why I am starting with this series “Humans of Primarc” to share some of our team members journey with you all and what impact Primarc made in their career growth. Meet Biswadeep Sinha, who joined us in 2016. He was initially skeptical but later took a leap to work at a growing firm and today he's proud of that decision. In Biswadeep's own words: "Primarc is the perfect platform to showcase your values and continuously upskill through training programs. I've had the freedom to work decisively, seen my career soar year after year, and was even named Outstanding Performer of 2023." A key lesson he's learned? "Trust your colleagues and believe in each other. At Primarc, we stand united through thick and thin. Our leadership is always there to lend a hand." Biswadeep also cherishes the lasting bonds forged during our celebrations and annual get-togethers. He defines Primarc's culture as "Together is Progress." Through Biswadeep's experience, you can see how we truly live by our people-first values. Have you experienced a company culture that truly puts people first? #leadership #humansofprimarc

Education has become increasingly simplified in a diverse world, collaboration is no longer just a choice; it is a necessity for sustainable success. While working solo might yield quick results, collaborative efforts lead to more resilient and innovative outcomes. Think of a mushroom's ecosystem: beneath the surface, it thrives through a network of mycelium, connecting with other organisms to share resources and ensure mutual growth. Similarly, organizations and individuals who foster collaboration harness diverse perspectives, distribute risks, and create solutions that stand the test of time. Collaboration is key for career growth... 1. Leverage Diversity: Embrace different perspectives, skills, and backgrounds. This diversity can be a wellspring of creativity and problem-solving. 2. Be truthful: Collaboration flourishes in an environment of trust and respect. Transparent communication and shared goals are key. 3. Mutual Benefits on high focus: Identify shared objectives that align with individual goals, ensuring everyone feels valued. 4. Use Collaborative Tools: Leverage technology (e.g., project management software, communication platforms) to bridge gaps and enhance teamwork. 5. Develop Soft Skills: Cultivate empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution skills to navigate challenges smoothly. #itrainafrica #LeadLeap #NobelLearningPBC #CollaborationMatters #TeamworkForSuccess #GoFarTogether #SharedSuccess #InnovateTogether #CollaborativeMindset #WorkTogetherWinTogether
