Better late than never I guess. I'm aghast at all the corporate six "figured" consortium has not figured out the marketing of EV is better situated with fixed routes alongside dedicated charging stations. Mass public surface street transportations are ideally routes that are served on a routine basis and scheduled frequency accordingly Production of EV vehicles should be developed to address this need first as routes can lead to better positioning of charging stations and functionality of the EV trend of carbon emissions reductions. Presently it is hard to discern the future of a charging station's strategic positioning. Like the gas station and convenience store model. EV is yet to establish a successful brand of consumer participation. Let's get a federal mandate for public mass transit transportation fleets to be electricified as a priority before politics corrupts it's procurement principles.

Call for EV incentives to return and expand to plug-ins and hybrids 🚗🔌⚡️💵 Featured in today's Advertiser, the MTA has called on the State Government to bring back electric vehicle incentives, as well as expand buyer subsidies for plug-in hybrid and hybrid vehicles. As part of the MTA's 2024-25 State Budget submission and at a time when electric vehicles command a price premium over internal combustion vehicle counterparts, MTA CEO Darrell Jacobs said "consumer incentives must remain if we are to drive our decarbonisation". ICYMI: Starting this summer, new state rebates of up to $9,000 will be available to help cover the cost of leasing or purchasing electric vehicles in Washington. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to transition away from fossil fuels and combat climate change. With these rebates, electric vehicles will become more accessible to a wider range of residents, helping to democratize this emerging automotive technology. Combined with federal and automaker incentives, monthly lease payments on certain EV models could be less than $100 for qualifying consumers. Demand for electric cars and commercials is not keeping up with supply, hence all the price cuts. The best way to achieve maximum impact, while fast-tracking the creation of a used EV market at scale, is to convert fleets. I've had a few really positive chats with David Malicki and others in the NSW Government, and always thought they had a clearer view than many. By offering businesses rebates to buy electric cars and trucks, and installing chargers, NSW makes them more viable from a TCO perspective. That means more bums on EV seats, which rapidly changes public perception of this new and sometimes scary technology. A small investment with a large dividend.
