As previously presented in the last post, a scientifically valid mixed-methodology, coordinated by Gérontopôle AURA and conducted by the partners, was used to achieve to the objectives of WP3. In this post, we will dive in the qualitative methods; individual and group interviews. Qualitative data, in this case collected through semi-structured individual interviews and group interviews, aims to explore participants’ experiences and perceptions in depth. For both interview methodologies, an interview guide was prepared in advance, to address the research objective. The target public for the interviews consisted of carers and professionals working with older adults. The objectives of the interviews were: ✅ For the group interviews; a post-Covid impact assessment and skills needs with a focus on digital and soft skills (task 1) ✅ For the individual interviews; a skills assessment of skill mismatches and upskilling and reskilling needs of the workforce in the older adult care sector, with an emphasis on green and entrepreneurial skills (task 2) Gérontopôle AURA, the coordinators of this WP, centralized and conducted a thematic analysis. A total of 101 carers participated to the interviews. 7 group interviews were conducted; 5 in the implementing countries and 2 on the EU-level, there was a total of 42 participants. For the individual interviews, there was a total of 59 participants over 6 implementing countries. More detailed information on the sample and key results will be shared next month! ℹ️ Keep up to date with insights, updates, and opportunities to engage with our project via our website https://eldicare2-0.eu/ and social media Eldicare 2.0 #Eldicare #ElderlyCare #ErasmusPlus #VET #EU #EUVocationalExcellence #EUVocationalSkills #healthcare #healthcareprofessionals #vocationaltraining #healthyageing #qualityassurance iekAKMIedu | AKMI International | Aktios Elderly Care | ACQUIN e.V. | BK CON | Asociace poskytovatelů sociálních služeb České republiky | Metropolitan College Global Engagement | FNAQPA | Gérontopôle AURA | Lares Mayores | ÖJAB – Österreichische JungArbeiterBewegung / Austrian Young Workers Movement | Blocks Health and Social Care | DAYANA-X Ltd. | Eurocarers | EUROPEAN AGEING NETWORK (EAN) | European Social Network | European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) | European Vocational Training Association - EVTA

Excited to share our latest work! "Growing research highlights the role of local community contexts in health and well-being. Communities function as central arenas for health promotion as individuals and community spaces interact in daily life. To better communicate the linkages between community and health, we demonstrate the use of a set of geosocial tools for community diagnosis and health promotion, conceptually grounded in the framework of geosocial embeddedness, using data from community surveys and participatory research conducted with local inhabitants to engage their competency. Through a web-based interactive map generated using a geographic information system, we identified public territories in the municipality where greater policy attention is needed to enhance health. Through an intersectional matrix produced using multilevel analysis, we identified precise social groups by intersectional categories that are most at risk of loneliness for targeted intervention. A health radar chart on multidomain indicators illustrated information on group dynamics and longitudinal comparisons for health promotion. Overall, these tools offered not only diagnoses of the most vulnerable social groups for tailored interventions but also insight for policymakers to improve infrastructure and material resources to promote health. We conclude that geosocial tools offer a promising approach toward sharpening health communication and improving health in the community."

A friend challenged me to look back at my accomplishments in the workforce on this Women’s Day and not just celebrate others but also celebrate myself. I want to challenge all women to do the same! So for you, here is a short roundup. - Led the marketing and communication strategy of a multi-million dollar startup at 26, which was later sold to DaVita Medical Group. - Joined a Fortune 500 acquisition team with the focus of integrating culture and messaging. - Had a board seat with Communities In Schools. - Established a team to provide access for the autism community in Nevada, including nuero-psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, and OT/PT/Speech professionals. - Started an adolescent peer support group to foster community and transparency. - Introduced and launched telemedicine with zero copay for teachers and their families, becoming the most utilized service with MDLive. - Consulted for the Bloomberg HR and Benefits team on how to launch a telemedicine program - Developed websites, executed integrated marketing campaigns, managed accounts, and provided PR training to doctors. - Led social media growth and content. -Simplifying data to forecast the year to come resulting in savings and additional income sources for organizations. Reflecting on these achievements motivates me to continue pushing boundaries. I'm eager to contribute my skills and passion to an organization with high integrity and a mission to challenge the status quo. On Women's Day, I celebrate you, your past self, and cheer on your future self. #opentowork #marketingjobs #womensday #celebratesuccess

Incoming! Our Research Brief #3 just landed on our research page 😊 🛬 To guide our research, our team designed an integrative review of the existing research and literature to learn about the relationships between arts participation, social cohesion, and wellbeing in communities. The team took a look at 16 research articles and two literature reviews from 12 different countries across North and South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Collectively, the 16 research articles included 11,621 total research participants. From the review, our team identified four consistent themes: 1️⃣💥Arts participation in community spaces that includes creative physical or tactile engagement can build social cohesion. 2️⃣💥Culturally rooted arts programs can enhance individual and shared cultural identity, belonging, solidarity, and cooperation. 3️⃣💥Co-creation and social relationships cultivate commitment to a group and program, which can result in more regular participation and, in turn, enhanced health benefits. 4️⃣ 💥 Social cohesion, and its various components, may serve as a mechanism to enhance wellbeing. This review offers a view of research findings that may help guide design of future programs and studies of the value of arts participation to building social cohesion and wellbeing in communities. Want to learn more? 🔗 📖 Read the whole integrative review and peep our conceptual model on our website: https://lnkd.in/eqjXCMPa #ArtsForEveryBody #ONOP2024 #ArtsinHealth #NewResearch #ArtsinHealthResearch #Wellbeing #ConceptualModel #IntegrativeReview Shanaé Burch

“Cultural diversity in healthcare refers to the variety of cultural perspectives, beliefs, and practices that patients bring when seeking medical care. This diversity encompasses not just ethnicity and race but also age, gender expression, socioeconomic status, religion, and other factors that form a person’s identity. To deliver inclusive healthcare that meets the needs of a diverse population, healthcare professionals must be prepared to interact with patients whose beliefs and practices differ from their own.” Quality Interactions humATix has a unique opportunity to go onsite in industrial settings, where a high percentage of our patients are minorities. There are barriers that exist for this demographic in healthcare- longer wait times, lack of transportation, less appointment availability, language and more. Helping to remove these barriers while also working on bias and inclusive tools, allows humATix to meet these individuals where they’re at; to listen with empathy, and to guide them to quality healthcare the best we can. Implicit bias awareness trainings are a required continued education course for Athletic Trainers. We were excited to sit under the guidance of Graci Harkema for her RISE workshop to continue our understanding and build our culture at humATix. #athletictraining #glata #nationalathletictrainersassociation #dei #industrialathletictraining #ergonomics #atimpact
