Important news regarding the EU MDR / IVDR and one to keep an eye on for future developments over the forthcoming weeks. Whereas we all agree patient safety is paramount we need the European Regulatory Framework (EU MDR / IVDR) to be practical, pragmatic, risk based and to facilitate innovation for not only well-established Medical Device Manufacturers but vitally for SMEs and StartUps (an area I am passionate about) for all our benefit. Thanks for sharing Eddie Byamungu. PAUL ROWDEN Jeff McBride #StartUps #MedicalDevices #EUMDR #Innovation #SaMD #MedTech #HealthTech

🔔 Today, European Parliament committees are holding their constitutive meetings to elect their chairs and vice-chairs. Political groups often use the d'Hondt method to distribute the posts of chairs and vice-chairs of committees among themselves by informal agreement. This proportional distribution must then be confirmed with a majority vote in each committee 🗳️ Why do both the Parliament and EU countries use the d'Hondt method? What results does it tend to achieve? Read our briefing to find out ➡️ https://europa.eu/!qct3cR

Mmmm full marks for these courageous young ( first time ? ) UK MPs for having the guts to speak out about the elephant everybody knows is in the room As UK identity day by day becomes more of a “cultural identity” rather than a racial one ( according to.several recent surveys) , perhaps Brentry is moving from a yes / no debate to a “how ? “ Without the deviciveness of another fraught and spurious referendum The UK was bult on a system to elect MPs who pass laws by democratic majority If the outstanding MPs here gather similar sensible voting colleagues then Sir Kier Starmer , a man wh observes supports and follow the law , really has the path eased and plotted If the majority of Labour MPs who have a majority, dynamically observe its time to reverse the Brexit decision, the Parliamentry path exists No buses , no jingo , no take control catch phrases Resulting in inflation , “90 days” , visas , restricted markets queues, and few promised trade gigadeals Etc etc There is no shame in an about turn here Onlookers applaud courage Courage is a UK DNA when things need to be put right Lets see if Labour MP. colleagues put people or politics first Budgets which just tinker are going to kick the ball fown the road in a tense and overstretched context Yes the EU isnt perfect No But here the UK could add energy for change ( Draghi style? ) in a resulting negotiation to produce a giant win win outcome Britain enters on condition of a reformed EU A big hand in redesigning success for all
Finally, parliament is reflecting what we all know - Brexit has been a disaster. It was brought up in EIGHT separate questions in the House of Commons today.
