It’s all about digital identity and the ownership of “ME”, whereby I possess and control all my credentials and their distribution. Technology makes it feasible but the full “ME” is still a distant future because say my 1,000s of datapoints that define me are all over the place: in old pictures, in paper forms in boxes, in all the websites I registered in, my transactons, my health, criminal & tax records are in silo’d institutions etc. Then it may not matter because in any transaction, there might only be a bare minimum of datapoints that are worth sharing: say am male, middle aged, european with some sense of humour 😆. ZKP comes in play here and the beauty also in a programmable world, I can escrow “ME” and recall myself away from a transaction or relationship where the service was not good enough, where I didn’t receive value for money. Dispute resolution AI agents will have a field day! 😆
