After the substation along the Swannanoa River, in North Carolina, was severely damaged by hurricane Helene, a quick and reliable solution was needed to keep the community powered. #Efacec provided a 200,000-pound mobile substation to Duke Energy Corporation, ensuring nearly 7,000 people from Asheville’s Biltmore Village stay connected as the full rebuild takes place. The mobile substation, custom-designed for such critical situations, is now fully operational and delivering uninterrupted power to the area. The substation along Swannanoa River - which powers the Biltmore Village area in Asheville, N.C. - suffered substantial damages caused by #Helene. The damage is so severe that the station cannot be repaired – it must be completely torn down and rebuilt. While crews plan the rebuild, a 200,000-pound mobile substation will serve as a temporary solution, serving nearly 7,000 customers in the area.
