As part of our vision for simplified Windows management from the cloud, Microsoft has announced the deprecation of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). This signifies a phase in the product lifecycle where a feature/service is no longer actively developed. There will be no new investments in capabilities or feature requests for WSUS, but continued support for existing functionalities and updates. It's essential to note that the removal of WSUS does not impact Microsoft Configuration Manager's existing capabilities and support. In a significant move #microsoft has announced deprecation of Windows Server Update Services (#WSUS). #Deprecation is the stage of the product lifecycle when a feature or service is no longer in active development. Per the announcement, Windows Server Update Services is no longer actively developed, all the existing capabilities and content continue to be available for your deployments. In last 17-18 years, anyone who has been part of #EndUserManagement would have worked on WSUS with lot of stories to share :-).
