We're not huge fans of the IGCSE, but we do like the Global Perspectives course. It connects students with the latest events and issues going on in the world, encourages authentic critical thinking, and interlinks and enhances their subject knowledge. Sound familiar?! Because of the way it dovetails so beautifully with TOK, we've created a new Global Perspectives resource, comprising a padlet for each of the 22 topics. They provide teachers and learners with links and unpacking suggestions to hundreds of the latest international media sources, inviting them to explore each one within a real context. As with our other resources, we'll update the padlets every month, ensuring that they keep pace with an ever-changing world. You can also use our middle and senior ACT mini-lessons to help students master this fantastic course, making Global Perspectives a very natural part of the authentic critical thinking continuum (see here - https://lnkd.in/edderhCs). #globalperspectives #authenticcriticalthinking #tokintherealworld

🎓 𝑳𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 (𝑳𝑻𝑷) 𝒂𝒕 𝑺𝑫𝑼 After a year of honing my pedagogic skills (10 ECTS ≈ 300 hours ⌛), I’m proud to have completed the LTP. Here are some key insights on active learning and how to go beyond simple knowledge transfer to engage students in Danish universities: 🔍 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉-𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈: It’s about integrating what we practice in our research into the classroom. 🛠 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕-𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: Students learn best by doing, not just watching slides. 💬 𝑫𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒖𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌: Encouraging discussions and peer critique fosters deeper engagement and learning.
