Did your job ad receive a mountain of applicants? Here's our key steps to CV screening 👇 Step 1: Keyword matching - Scan CV's for key job-related terms (e.g., "communication skills" for customer service roles) - Consider using a candidate screening software to speed up this initial review Step 2: Review skills, experience, and qualifications - Prioritise essential qualifications early, such as specific certifications - Look for transferable skills even if direct experience is lacking Step 3: Identify potential concerns - Note red flags like unexplained gaps or frequent job changes - Plan to address these concerns in the interview if the candidate is otherwise strong Step 4: Create a shortlist - Finalise a list of candidates to interview, aiming for at least three strong fits for the role

Here are some things you can do to increase your chances of getting through the CV screening part of the application process: - Have your LinkedIn profile hyperlinked OR make sure your CV name is the same so Recruiters/Internal Talent can find it. Often they cross-check to make sure titles & timeframes align. It can be a little orange flag-y if there are large discrepancies. - Clearly outline job title & timelines: This can be a challenge for consultants, but expecting recruiters to understand what your overarching role was during a project can be a stretch at times. Aim to make your CV as understandable as possible. #candidatecare #talent
