Question - who will buy this tea? What consumer markets are being targeted and with what kind of tea? How much tea is it intended to produce? And if the project fails, what other crops are in place to help those farmers?

It comes at a very important point in time for the tea sector in Africa. Prices of black CTC teas at Mombasa tea auction are the lowest witnessed in along time while the cost of production is high. Small tea growers are being affected the most with some farmers in Uganda are uprooting generation tea farms. Tea growers factories such as Mpanga Tea Factory have been closed and put up for sale. Speciality tea models are a good alternative for small tea growers due to there small investment cost opportunities. In addition the market for special teas is starting to grow in the North America. Farmers need to be supported to take advantage of such growing opportunities that demands for sustainable and impact teas. Such conferences afford farmers a chance to interact with international experts and other successful farmers. The Reclaim Sustainability Tea Project project funded by Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken under its #disruptiveinnovation pathway supports the creation and promotion of business models that ensure #fairownership and forward business integration with meaningful participation of small tea growers, women and youth. 🇮🇱 Israel is one of the new markets in our portfolio for Alaska seafood. Doing business in Israel often feels like a crash course in adaptability, but the upsides for the global food producers in 🇮🇱 are clear: 🌿 Import dependency 🌿 High disposable incomes 🌿 Appetite for premium products 🌿 A strong culture of family dining This week, our Crisp Global team participated in #Israfood 🍅 - the largest food show in Israel. Compact (just 1 pavilion) yet diverse, it featured 450 exhibitors (mostly local). Two industry conferences accompanied the show and focused on retail and HRI. Israfood featured a wide range of food sectors - from fried fruits and seafood to water purification and pizza equipment. Active samplings along the show added a lively B2C touch. In Israel, face-to-face networking is key. Building trust requires personal connections, which makes events like Israfood quite helpful for business. 🙋♀️ We may consider exhibiting next year with Alaska seafood. If you are interested in a shared booth at the show with your product - let's be in touch. What’s your take on working in Israel? Would be great to know! #staycrisp #crispcase

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚: 𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡. During a project trip to Abeche, Chad, I was invited to lunch by a gracious host. As I ate, I was served tea—a gesture that resonated deeply with me. 𝙄𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙄 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖. In many parts of Africa, especially in predominantly Muslim regions, tea is more than just a beverage; it symbolizes hospitality and community. While in N'Djamena, I spoke with a roadside tea vendor who shared fascinating insights. Tea consumption, especially among young people, is on the rise, and the demand for ready-to-drink tea is significant. His daily income, solely from selling tea, was astonishing. Many customers prefer buying from him because he prepares the tea for them, eliminating the hassle of making it themselves. Yet, many tea producers overlook the immense potential of the African market. A beneficial product that promotes healthy living needs only patience and the right exposure to thrive here. 1/2 Hopefully, the Administration in Botswana will include some new wineskins. If you put new wine into an old wineskin, it bursts. "Old Wineskins" here is the current configuration of Government Ministries and Departments. Recently, I attended a client's Internal Summit, where a Futurist talked at length about the Dubai Minister of the Future. I hope for the New Administration's radical re-engineering of Ministries and departments when it announces cabinet today. Dubai also have a "Ministry of Possibilities" - A virtual ministry created to incubate and solve systemic impossibilities of the government and build new Government systems of the future. Meet: Her Excellency Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi MINISTER OF STATE FOR GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT AND THE FUTURE a ministerial portfolio created in 2020 with the aim of advancing government development and enhancing the UAE’s readiness for future challenges and opportunities. What does this Ministry do? Enhance the performance, productivity, speed, agility, efficiency and trust in the government. Build new government business models and tools required for transformation. Enable social and economic development to help realise the UAE’s full potential in collaboration with the private sector and civil society.

Ala Baro!! A market Slang, given to men and women that helps shoppers carry their purchases in the open market at agreed charges. It is every brand manager's dream to see their brand being carried on a wooden carrier in the Lagos Island market (Okearin) Nigeria, just like my brand pictured below. The sight alone generates a belief that your brand is gaining market acceptance and desired distribution. This is the only means of conveying wine and spirits from the dealer's shop to the buyer/customer because of the narrow pathway and human traffic in the market. The women load a maximum of 50kg of wines or spirits on their heads for a minimum distance of 15 minutes and charge less than $1, while the men load 120kg and cover the same distance for less than $1. #wine #lagos #fmcg #trade #LinkedIn
