Arizona ranks among the highest states in the country for Child Drownings. So far in 2024, in the Phoenix Metropolitan area alone, there have been over 50 drowning calls to emergency responders, of which 20 were fatalities. 7 of these where drownings of children under the age of 5 years old. Each of these children were unattended around water. Child drowning is preventable by following these 4 steps. #1 ALWAYS watch children when they are around water #2 Install a fence or barrier around your pool #3 Teach your children how to swim #4 Learn CPR

𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Children learn how to react quickly and calmly during a fire emergency. 2. 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: Drills teach the safest and fastest ways to exit the building. 3. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: Students practice working together to ensure everyone is safe. 4. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: Regular drills build confidence, reducing panic in real situations. 5. 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Educating kids on fire safety contributes to overall community health and preparedness.
