With the charitable sector struggling to do more with less and facing record-breaking staff burnout rates, corporate funding is vital to meet the growing demands placed on the charitable sector. However, with corporate funding comes reporting requirements that divert resources from the charity’s core mission. Gore Mutual Foundation conducted research on the widespread practices of corporate funders requiring their charitable partners to monitor and evaluate the impact of their giving versus the impact itself, without proper capacity-building. Manager of Social Impact, Chantelle Moore, shares in this report how Gore Mutual Foundation piloted a new approach to monitoring and evaluation capacity-building to drive greater social outcomes. #CharitableSector #Measurement #ImpactMatters #CapacityBuildingforGood #GoreMutual

Did you know there are easy ways you could volunteer your time to help Table to Table? One way is by making sandwiches. The staff at AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. gets together once a month and makes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our community partners. Between 200-300 sandwiches are made and donated each month. Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting back on #impact is a critical component to retaining and cultivating corporate funding within the Canadian charitable sector. Yet, research shows that only 5% of corporate funders provide monetary support over and above their community granting to support this requirement. As a fundraiser, I experienced the strain of meeting my corporate funders reporting requirements, and now that I am with Gore Mutual Insurance, I aim to do things differently. To learn more, please read the report below. A special acknowledgement to the following supporters and contributors: Imagine Canada, Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement, Social Innovation Canada, Bruce MacDonald, Brad Offman, Liz Weaver, Kathryn Cooper, The 519, The Get REAL Movement, Indigenous Youth Roots - IYR (Formerly CRE), SPECTRUM Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space, Scientists in School, The Bridges - CSC, Aniska Ali, CFRE, Scott Williams, Chris Studer, Alyssa Luttenberger, Karin Neubrand, Wayne Paddick #InsurancethatdoesGood #CapacitybuildingforGood

Thanks Masiela Trust Fund and PEP Botswana for collaborating to deliver warm clothing, drawing books and sanitary pads to vulnerable children around Botswana.🤞🏾We truly value the work NGOs in Botswana do to close the vulnerability gaps. This is why we provide Masiela Trust Fund with technology support - their work has impact and we want to scale that digital innovation. Our relationship has enabled us to gain insights on the delivery of social protection services. This is my all time favourite Spectrum Analytics project. This is a complex problem without simple straightforward solutions - and needs multi-disciplinary innovation teams. #data4good #socialprotection #bonangbana
The MmaBoi and Spectrum Analytics team, proudly joined our trusted friends and partners, Masiela Trust Fund at the PEP and Masiela Trust Fund handover ceremony. Thanks to PEP's generous donation of clothing, stationery, and toiletries, we're bringing warmth and support to vulnerable children this winter. Together, we all can drive meaningful impact in the social protection ecosystem! #MmaBoiCares #SpectrumAnalytics #MasielaTrustFund #PEP #CommunitySupport #WinterWarmth #ChildWelfare
