SPAIN: Wildfire in Alicante A wildfire in Alicante Province has grown to around 320 hectares as crews work to contain the fire today (August 1), according Crisis 24. The ongoing heatwave across Spain and hot, dry, and windy conditions have contributed to the fire's growth. Further wildfire growth is likely over the coming days. Around 150 people have been evacuated and some roads in the region remain closed today. Disruption to telecommunication networks are affecting communities in the affected area.
