Holiday Safety Tip: Feasting with family is part of many holiday celebrations. Follow these simple tips to help prevent food poisoning or foodborne illnesses. 1. Always use a clean cutting board for fresh produce and a separate one for raw seafood, meat, and poultry. Never place cooked food back on the same plate or cutting board that previously held raw food. 2. When serving food, be mindful of proper temperature control. Keep cold foods at 40 °F or below and hot foods at 140 °F or above. 3. Discard any food left at room temperature for over 2 hours. (1 hour if the temperature was above 90 °F) 4. Store leftovers in shallow containers (2 inches deep or less). Reheat leftover food to 165°F and consume within 1-3 days. #happyholidaysUC #safetytips #familytime
