🚀 **Commodore Amiga ** 🚀
This week in 1985, Commodore launched its Amiga personal computer, also known as the Amiga 1000 or A1000. The Amiga had a multitasking, windowed operating system, really vibrant colour graphics, and stereo sound—features that were really ahead of its time.
The Amiga quickly gathered a dedicated user base, even as the PC market became dominated by IBM-compatible PCs and Apple Macintosh computers.
The Amiga was so ahead of its time that almost nobody — including Commodore’s marketing department, could fully articulate what it was all about. Today, it’s obvious that the Amiga was the first multimedia computer, but in those days, it was seen as a game machine because few people grasped the importance of advanced graphics, sound, and video."*
It’s always interesting to look back and see how far technology has come !!
