💧 Last week, WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development released the water chapter of their Regenerative Agriculture Metrics guidance for business. I was excited to serve as a technical expert because few frameworks feature reduced water withdrawal and nutrient loss as key outcomes of regenerative agriculture. It provides guidance for companies throughout the agri-food value chain to plan and implement outcomes-based water stewardship strategies in their supply sheds with consistent metrics relevant at farm, landscape, and global scales. https://lnkd.in/e_TEyKUn Regrow Ag is honored that our Resilient Agriculture Platform was included as a Case Study for implementing the recommendations because of how it is being enhanced to help businesses overcome the main challenges identified in the report: - translating global frameworks into local water action plans - defining water targets and thresholds - rewarding water outcomes measured against historical baselines - improving transparency of water claims - tracking the performance of water sustainability programs over time, and - reporting progress at the corporate scale

I had the pleasure of joining the #RegenHouse conversation around the kitchen table on Scaling Regenerative Agriculture 🌱. Together with Ethan Soloviev, Mary Jane Melendez, Facundo Etchebehere, and Juan Gabriel Aguiriano Nalda, we gathered around a small table covered with fresh produce from the farm, to dive into real-time strategies, successes, and challenges. Each of us posed questions to our group based on our unique role in the supply chain, sparking meaningful discussions about the future of regenerative agriculture 🌍. From the retailer’s perspective, I spoke about the complexity of supply chains—better described as *value webs*—and the opportunity we have to create consensus on a common set of definitions, standards, and certifications to help retailers accelerate 🌾. Long-term partnerships, like the Better For Nature and Farming program from our Dutch brand and our Regen Ag partnership with General Mills support farmers to adopt regenerative agriculture in key sourcing locations.
