"Taco Bell has done it, coming in with the fastest average drive-thru service time at 194.16 seconds, according to QSR’s annual survey. The average drive-thru experience came in at 244.86 seconds, with some better (KFC, 206.41 seconds) and some worse (McDonalds, 271.81 seconds). The perennial standout is Chick-Fil-A, which has a 298.27-second average service time and another 181.15-second average wait time on top of that, with customers waiting 479.42 seconds (about 8 minutes) in total to get from the end of the queue to food." -Numlock

For Uber the dynamic pricing should incentivize more drivers in peak hours to pick up rides. This creates a win-win. We’re always taking snaps of inspiration out and about or on holidays. What you are seeing is a twist on vending in Troyes, France that pushes beyond basic convenience to dial up the ‘premium.’ High-quality, organic locally-sourced food in refrigerated dry lockers with a shopfront exterior that exudes just the right amount of opulence. Customers can pre-order their selection online or browse in-store. It’s high-end without the sales pressure, the ‘checkout judgement,’ or time wasting queues. What’s also clever is just how basic it is. There’s no complex machinery to go wrong (unless a flawed Windows update happens), no fancy robots – just pay, open the door, and go.
