I recently discovered something that completely transformed the way I approach leadership. We all chase the “big wins,” but here is what I have learned: small, consistent actions are the true game-changers. It is the little steps we take every day that create lasting impact. Whether we are building relationships, embracing unexpected challenges, or fostering collaboration, these moments drive real progress. In the nonprofit world, success is not about waiting for the perfect opportunity, it is about creating it. Shoutout to Kenzie Ferguson and Hanna Malak, MBA for always showing us how our everyday actions lead to big outcomes. Now, I would love to hear from you: What has been your most surprising leadership lesson recently? #Leadership #NonProfitLeadership #DailyActions #Impact #SmallSteps #Philanthropy #CommunityLeadership #GrowthMindset #americanredcross

The Next Chapter in Leadership My leadership journey: Business Manager of high school year book, President of Student Council, manager of summer program for young children, editor of not for profit newspaper, baseball coach, President of baseball association, member of board of directors for 2 charities, senior manager in government. And today, my last day as a manager: with moist eyes I sent my last communication to my team. Grateful for the wonderful experiences, and for the previlege of leading. And tomorrow, the next chapter begins: developing and supporting leaders, in industry, in not for profit, in government. Sunny days and blue skies ahead !! 😊 Jim S September 28, 2024 #leadership, #change, #management

As leaders, especially in the nonprofit world, we often push ourselves to the limit, sacrificing our well-being for the sake of others. But true leadership means recognizing the power of rest and self-care. When we rest, we reset, recharge, and show up more fully for the work that matters most. If you’re a nonprofit leader struggling to balance self-care with the demands of leadership, I’m here to help. Let’s explore how you can prioritize rest and lead with accountability and compassion. 💛 #SelfCareIsResistance #RestIsLeadership #SelfCareForLeaders #TheNapMinistry #NonprofitLeadership #SelfCareJourney #LeadWithCompassion
