Hey Rio Longacre, I LOVE this post as a pic = 1k words. The pictures are not inaccurate, but I think this topic requires a bit more of a conversation. You and I have discussed this very matter, and the generational divide represents a real issue in many teams and working environments. There is no shortage of articles on this topic. I mean, everyone looks disturbed in the pics except for Gen X. I feel that's correct to a degree, but then again, like you, I am an Xer, so I'm a bit biased. There is likely a good deal of bias from the commentators as well. So while I don't disagree with the sentiment in these pics, I would like to ask, what are the POSITIVE generalizations we can make about Zoomers, Millennials, and Boomers? I'll start: While Gen Z is often seen as not wanting to work hard, this can be seen as a positive. Today, it's clear many folks are working harder than ever. We need to learn how to let go a bit more and to increasingly define ourselves by our values rather than by our position; Gen Z seems to get this huge idea. I feel Gen Z is also more independent-minded. This independence combined with a need to stay grounded will lead to more creativity, the biggest gap with AI. Go Gen Z!
