If partner managers lived in ancient Rome, they would be an Anteamblo. An anteamblo was someone who was hired to clear a path in the direction that their boss was trying to get to within the city. Anteamblo’s made their boss’s life easier. Anteamblo’s would go ahead of their boss to make sure the right people were positioned to meet with their boss and discuss business & politics. Anteamblo’s would distribute and communicate messages to drive favor and attention for their boss. Because Anteamblo’s went ahead of their boss, much of the work and problems the Anteamblo’s solved weren’t seen by their boss. And that’s the point. There are so many things partner managers have to do in order to create an ecosystem within their industry that helps their company achieve its goals. And in the short-term, your senior leadership team and the rest of your company may not fully understand the work you put in. But keep clearing the path ahead of your company. Keep solving problems. Be a servant leader. Because whether you stay at your current company or not, the one who clears the path for others ultimately controls the direction of the path. #partnerships

The quote mentioned in The Business & Leadership Coaching Company's post below is both profound and has been a guiding light in my journey towards personal and professional growth and happiness. It often occurs to me that if we took the time to choose our responses to the happenings of our lives, experienced multiple times in a day, and filtered them through the outcomes we desire and the personal or professional brands we want to build, would they be the same as our instinctive reactions in the past? Invariably not. With the benefit of hindsight, we see where, and sometime wish, we could have thought and acted differently to achieve a better outcome – one that aligns with the quality of relationships we seek to develop and brings us closer to the person we aspire to be. This has certainly been the case for me. Armed with the certainty that I knew what was right and what was needed for me, and everyone around me, to succeed, I often acted impulsively, with a clear notion of what I wanted to achieve practically, but not giving too much thought to the people involved, the ones I needed or “was doing it for”. Boy, was I wrong. How many opportunities and relationships did I ruin along the way? It took the guidance of well-meaning mentors and many a frustrated, sometimes painful, introspection for me to learn that every interaction is an opportunity. An opportunity to be the person you want to be. An opportunity to live your authentic truth. An opportunity to give as well as to receive, and sometimes giving more. The trick is to know what you want and then to think, act, and react in a way that you can look back on and be proud of yourself for how you approached the interaction. To be comfortable with, even happy, that the outcome, is what it was supposed to be. Since then, I have kept this quote close to my heart and have let it guide me in every interaction and relationship I have had. Sometimes getting it right, sometimes not so much, but always with the understanding and confidence that being true to your authentic self is the only way to be truly happy and foster and maintain effective relationships, no matter the purpose they serve in your life. Thank you to the mentors and coaches I was blessed with knowing, for helping me see how I was derailing my own ability to achieve the things I felt most passionate about. I am living a more authentic and happy life now, and your impact on me will never be forgotten or taken for granted.
With over 30 years' experience in leadership, operational excellence, and people development, Michael Kruger knows how to visualize, set, and achieve meaningful goals. His achievements include revamping operational models for sustainable cost savings and profit enhancement, developing new products and markets, negotiating and delivering multi-million Rand contracts, restructuring organizations, managing multi-billion Rand infrastructure projects, and turning around underperforming businesses across the MEA region. Today I experienced my first Denver South Annual Event! For those who may not know, Denver South is a dynamic organization dedicated to fostering economic development and community growth in the South Metro Denver region. Their mission is to create a thriving environment for businesses and residents alike, driving innovation and collaboration. This year's event was inspiring, thanks to the profound insights shared by the remarkable Molly Fletcher. Drawing from her extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar deals for some of our favorite stars, Molly offered invaluable leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building lessons. Here are the four key takeaways that resonated deeply with me: 1) Be Relational, Not Transactional. Building genuine relationships is the cornerstone of success. It's about connecting on a human level, not just focusing on the deal at hand. 2) Don't Be Afraid to Ask Tough Questions. Courageous conversations lead to growth and innovation. Embrace the tough questions to uncover new opportunities and solutions. 3) Be Present. Being fully present is a rare and powerful gift in our fast-paced world. It allows us to truly connect, understand, and make meaningful contributions. 4) Surround Yourself with People Who Tell You the Truth. Honest feedback is essential for personal and professional growth. Seek out those who challenge you and help you see your blind spots. Thank you, Molly, for your wisdom and for reminding us of the importance of authentic connections and courageous leadership. Let's carry these lessons forward as we continue to build a vibrant and collaborative community in Denver South! 🚀 #Leadership #Collaboration #DenverSouth #CommunityGrowth #Inspiration #MollyFletcher #RelationshipBuilding

Why does networking matter in real estate? Because relationships open doors. People are the key to more deals, faster growth, and long-term success. On the first night of our St. Louis visit, I sat down with our partners, team members, and our wives for dinner at a little Mexican restaurant right next to one of the properties we are purchasing. The night was filled with conversations about growth, assets, and building wealth together. Moments like this remind me how important building partnerships are. In every relationship I form, I find a way to bring value first. These relationships make me stronger and keep me moving forward on this journey. Share how many relationships you’ve cultivated this year and tag one person you created a great partnership with. #EmpressCapital #Networking #ShortTermRentals #BuildingTogether #Community #RealEstateInvesting #STRGrowth #Teamwork #AssetBuilding #Partnerships #SuccessTogether #RealEstateCommunity #BusinessGrowth #Leadership #Teamwork

Sometimes you lose but at the end you win. Sometimes when you win, at the end you lose. What is winning when at the end nobody wins. Building bridges together should be the starting point and create a culture of partnership.

8moWell, to be a great Anteamblo, you actually need more than just taking action early. You also need to understand how the market works and build good relationships with people involved. Great share
