Another great time in Austin, Texas celebrating our partnership with NetSuite team members in the High Tech Vertical! Exciting times as we've hired an amazing resource to support the NetSuite High Tech teams in Sue Rauzi. Can't wait to see an already strong partnership expand even further with Sue onboard as we head into 2025. BEAM ME UP NETSUITE! It has been a hectic few weeks. It felt like I was on the away team of the Original Star Trek series and was wearing a red shirt (In-joke, look it up if unsure!). Both my work and home life have just been one push after another, and I can’t just demand that Scotty beams me up! Thats what happens when you are away for two weeks solid and then return to work. So finally, today I am catching up. It must be the Warp Factor 9 I have been pushing the engines at has finally paid off! I have taken a giant step forward from a practicing Luddite to an unwilling technophile. Due to new security measures in the office and system-wise, I have been forced to ditch my 20-year-old flip-top phone that made me feel like Captain Kirk for a modern brick. Everyone tells me that you can do everything on it and life will be much easier for me now. Will it? Seriously! What will be easier, now I am attached to the office 24 hours every day and to LinkedIn? Am I living in a virtual reality now, do I even know what the real world is? Anyway, what I have noticed on my ungainly brick is this: I no longer need to boot up the work laptop at odd hours to check NetSuite for results or my work email for new hits. Better yet, I can type a message that doesn’t get corrected endlessly when I email out. Is that progress, I ask you? When I traded my Model T Ford in a few years ago and realised I had a CD player built-in rather than a record player on the back seat, I thought then, “Well, I prefer vinyl!” defiantly. And yet, now I am forced to listen to my wife’s ABBA CDs in the car, call that progress? Okay, so the rants are over. What I have noticed is that my phone seems to do everything I need from NetSuite on the phone anywhere, anytime. So, when the boss phoned unexpectedly and said, “How are you getting on with company X?” I just clicked in on my phone and there was the answer. followed by a quick phone call to company X and a chat, and then an update online. Amazing tech, I agree. What other software offers such flexibility? Definitely something a Managing Director wants to have; is it what you want? Anyway, as always, my associate, the ever-dapper Luke Fenwick, offers demos weekly, and I have even been known to discuss the benefits of such a well-rounded Finance and ERP package. #netsuite #digitaltransformation #rsm

I chuckled at seeing this post. It's really just hustle culture randomizer. Speed, for speed's sake, is pointless. Speed without direction can lead you in a circle or quickly... in the wrong direction. Speed without clear-headed leadership can lead you to run back and forth but never make progress. Speed in an environment filled with groupthink can force you down a rabbit hole to nowhere. Launching tomorrow without a beta when you could launch next week with user testing... forcing out an announcement on a Friday night when it would get more attention on Monday... Velocity matters. Working with people who are smarter than you matters. Working within a deadline-driven culture matters. Being nimble and responding to user and market feedback matters. Speed, for speed's sake, does not matter. P.S Speed to make "all the hires" this quarter was really what did me in for. I've been on both sides enough times to know that you need to hire the right person, not the first person.
The best SaaS companies just move faster It gets done this quarter The feature gets rolled out now, not late in the year The hires get made this quarter. All of them. This compounds at an epic rate
