Something light - for a Sunday afternoon: Is ESG at the top of your agenda? What do you think is the number one issue with ESG - regardless of going wrong or right? Leave a comment and share your thoughts! #ESG #sustainability #corporatesocialresponsibility #SFDR
Your picture does raise an eyebrow and hints at the potential for unintended consequences within ESG initiatives. this underscores the importance of holistic and thoughtful approaches to ESG implementation. The question of the number one issue with ESG is complex, as ESG encompasses a wide spectrum of considerations that can vary greatly depending on perspective and context. In my opinion, while there's been commendable attention placed on the environmental aspect (E) of ESG, the social (S) and governance (G) dimensions often seem to take a back seat. What gives hope in navigating this landscape is the clear direction towards ESG integration. While the pace of this integration may vary, the commitment to it is palpable among stakeholders. It is reassuring to see the momentum building, even if the speed of progress may fluctuate.
Great conversation to have. The biggest issue I see, with the "E" (environment) kind of initiatives, is green-washing... Lets stop doing that and show some proper love to our environment.
Great point Dragos Nedelea. #sfdr on top of everyone’s agenda at present.

9moHere is an interesting trend - as banks are phasing out of financing non-ESG assets, private lenders are stepping in to fill the gap: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-02-26/private-credit-dominates-whitehaven-coal-s-1-1-billion-loan?leadSource=uverify%20wall
