Modern Retail asked me for my ideas on designing physical stores for digital native brands, and I’m honored that they chose to use my thoughts to close the article.

We can’t contradict the way that you shop online in the physical space.'””
I believe in the importance of crafting brand continuity across every channel and form of customer interaction. The role of the retail designer has always been how to translate the brand into physical form, crafting the customer interaction and brand journey. The challenge is that the brand journey now very much happens online, before, during and after the store visit, and you have to design within that context.
