Have you delved into the captivating realm of daydreams within your mind? Researchers have made significant progress in comprehending what happens in the brain during daydreaming. This study using mice provides valuable knowledge that might shed light on comparable phenomena in humans. Nghia Nguyen, a doctoral candidate in Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School's Blavatnik Institute, spearheaded the research. His team monitored the neurons in the visual cortex of mice while they were awake but relaxed. I am excited to share that I have completed the online course “Advanced Neurobiology I” by Peking University! This course covered foundational topics in neuroanatomy, electrical signal transduction, movement, and several diseases affecting the nervous system. 🧠 I had the opportunity to dive into: -Anatomy of the nervous system; -Morphology of the neuronal cell; -Cellular and molecular biology of neurons; -Signaling within neurons; -Ion channels and membrane potentials; -Neurotransmitter release; -Synaptic transmission and plasticity; -Techniques in neuroscience. Typical customer projects and their solution: Cell count -> Segmentation Ratio of different cell types -> Segmentation (multiple classes) Cell size -> Segmentation Cell count per tissue region -> Segmentation (Tissues and cells) Cell migration assay -> Segmentation (Cell tracking is simple if the segmentation is accurate) Cell proximity -> Segmentation Artifact removal -> Segmentation ...
