An amazing session today on the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford Advanced Management & Leadership Programme with Professor Megan Reitz on Psychology Safety. Her work shows the importance of creating an environment for conversations about: 1. Creativity 2. Meaning & Purpose 3. Relational 4. Reflective & Learning 5. Task Balance is critical here and Megan’s data shows there has been too much of a pivot towards Task at the expense of the others…. 6moSounds like a very interesting and inspirational session. Task completion is of course essential, but as you state it shouldn't overshadow the need for creativity, meaning, purpose, and reflective learning. We need to create spaces that encourage open dialogue, where team members feel valued and heard. It's about shifting the focus from just 'doing' to 'being'—where each individual feels secure to contribute to their fullest potential.
