👏 The Association of British Columbia Marine Industries (ABCMI) have just wrapped up an incredible week at #SMM2024 in Hamburg, one of the largest maritime trade shows in the world, with over 48,000 attendees and 2,200 exhibitors. Participating as part of the #TeamCanada 🇨🇦 delegation in Canada's Maritime Industries booth, our companies had an amazing opportunity to connect with global leaders, engage in high quality meetings, and explore future collaborations that will undoubtedly strengthen our industry. It was a resounding success, but events like this are never just about the days on the show floor, they are about the months of meticulous planning, dedication, and collaboration that make everything go off without a hitch. A huge thank you to our partners Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia (OTCNS), Oceans Advance Inc., ACOA - APECA, GMT - Gesellschaft für Maritime Technik e.V., Trade & Invest British Columbia and Embassy of Canada to Germany | Ambassade du Canada en Allemagne. Your support made all the difference in ensuring that every detail, from the MOU signing celebration, our Canada Reception, and the BC Ferries New Vessel Program & Industry Showcase was extraordinary. Special recognition to those on the ground in Germany including Petra Mahnke for all her work in advance of our MOU celebration, Enrico Nake for his tireless efforts in facilitating quality connections and meetings for our companies, and Ephrath Joy Kern for joining our team late in the game and flawlessly executing every detail behind our networking events. Now the real work begins - following up on the opportunities created and turning new relationships into lasting partnerships. There is so much potential ahead for Canada's maritime industries, and we're excited to keep the momentum going 🇨🇦 🚢 🌊 #MaritimeIndustry #CanadianInnovation #Partnerships #GlobalConnections #MarineIndustry

As the United States turns inward once again, Europe has a rare opportunity to step forward with confidence. A united Europe can demonstrate that strength doesn’t require isolation but thrives on independence, cooperation, and shared vision. Now is the time to deepen our alliances, fostering a Europe that is resilient, self-reliant, and fully committed to shaping its own destiny. By uniting our diverse cultures and resources, we not only build a stronger Europe but also inspire a world that values solidarity and progress over division.
