Hi, We purchased a home in Clermont, Florida from Dream Finder four months ago. Last month, Hurricane Milton, a Category 1 storm in the Clermont area, caused severe damage to our roof. Considering the mild nature of the storm here, I didn't expect such poor quality from Dream Finder's construction. According to the Florida Building Code, new homes in coastal areas must withstand Category 5 hurricanes and Category 3 in inland areas. Hurricane Milton hit Florida’s coast as a Category 3 hurricane and weakened to Category 1 near Clermont. The severe damage to our roof indicates that the materials or installation did not comply with the Florida Building Code. We have questioned Dream Finder’s customer care department on why our roof sustained such extensive damage while neighboring homes remained unaffected. As educated individuals, we cannot accept their explanation of "Only God knows why." The Law of Physics, created by God, governs wind behavior impartially; it doesn't target specific homes but rather exposes construction defects and weaknesses.

When posting job opportunities, instead of saying "We are looking for xyz..." or "My team is hiring an abc...", specifically state the company that the job is for. Eg. "At [company], we are looking for xyz..." or "My team at [company] is hiring an abc..." Your post reaches outside of your network and "we" and "my team" is ambiguous for folks who have no idea who you are. On mobile's limited screen real estate, the name of your company might be cutoff in your title, and people won't always click through to your profile to see where you work and what company the role is for. #hiringtips 🌈✨

I interviewed with a company a few months ago and it was a saddening experience. Picture this: I had an outstanding interview that led me meeting the district manager for a final interview. I was told I had everything they were looking for and exceeded their expectations in the sales management role, except one thing. He only wanted to hire from within and that meant starting at the bottom level and working my way up. Respectfully, I told the district manager I did not agree with his decision to only hire me if I started at the bottom level and he concluded the interview right then and there. It’s been 4 months now and that same store is empty of foot traffic and the ad is still up on indeed. I refuse to settle for an employer who is not open minded. I had so many thoughts and ideas just from a glimpse to change the store and make it so the sales exceeded. But, I was denied because I refused to start over in a career I worked so hard to develope myself in.
