Watch this insightful #podcast snippet from last year where Douglas Aitken explains the meaning behind our purpose, 'Humanise the Numbers'. Doug emphasises the importance of a 'team first' approach and genuinely caring about team members' lives. This creates an environment for open and honest discussions where team members feel safe to be candid. As an accountancy firm leader, do you practice a 'team first' approach? How well do you know your team members and what is happening in their lives? When you have an open and honest discussion with your team, how frank and candid is the conversation? As a member of the Remarkable Practice Ltd team, I can tell you that Doug leads by example, what do you think your team would say? #teamfirst #honest #candid #conversation #teamwork #leadership #teamworksuccess #accountants #accountantsandaccounting #accountancypractice #tuesdaytips #humanisethenumbers Sally Wallwin Click the link below to watch the snippet and hear the rest of the podcast. https://lnkd.in/evYT_bfv https://lnkd.in/eQwaF8nu

The Pyramid of Choice, as described by Carol Tavris, in this The Innovation Show podcast (23:00) is compelling! I listened to this podcast a few weeks back and I keep coming back to it. It shines a light on what we are seeing in so many areas of our lives right now, especially in politics. We get stuck in beliefs and this highlights that we need new ways to address the divides that are created. We need to shift the energy to allow us to come back to center and regain our power to choose. For me, this podcast sparks that it's not about switching sides but rather not getting stuck on a side. Logosynthesis® offers a powerful coaching model to guide this work. We don't need to stay stuck in the reactive patterns that often blind us and get in the way of our goals. #beliefs #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #cdnpoli #healthforall #logosynthesis #unlockpotential. https://lnkd.in/g267yFvZ via @YouTube

🌱 HumanOS: Building a More Caring Workplace I recently had the pleasure of listening to Bianca Errigo on the “Never Mind The Job Spec” podcast, and wow – what an insightful conversation! Bianca’s thoughts on well-being and leadership really struck a chord. She introduced the concept of HumanOS, a framework that places people at the heart of the workplace. It’s a reminder that professional success isn’t just about hitting KPIs – it’s about fostering environments where people can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. 💡 A few key takeaways that resonated with me: • Leadership with empathy: Leaders should set the tone by embracing well-being and encouraging it within their teams. • Beyond the 9-to-5: True growth happens when employees feel supported in every aspect of their lives. • Sustainable work cultures: Companies that prioritize well-being will build more resilient and inclusive teams for the future. A huge thank you to Bianca Errigo for sharing her knowledge and making me rethink how we shape workplace cultures. If you’re passionate about well-being and leadership, I highly recommend checking out the episode. Let’s continue this important conversation – how can we create workplaces where people thrive? #HumanOS #Wellbeing #Leadership #InclusiveWorkplace #Podcast

I talk to interesting people for a living. Usually great founders and investors. And I’ve often found myself going “man, I wish I recorded that” after an especially good conversation. Until today, I’ve resisted. Yes, this post is going where you think it’s going. Another god damned podcast. Cringe. That’s fine, you think what you want. But I’m doing it anyways. I’m going to try to do mine a bit differently. I love the greats like Lex, Rogan, and Tim Ferriss, but I find they’re often too high level. When I meet someone interesting, I grill them. Not about what they do, but about how they do it. What time do you wake up? How do you manage your calendar? What supplements do you take? What books changed your life? What do you regret? I’m trying to break open their brain and figure out how they operate on a granular level. What can I copy? I want the cheat codes. Tell me what to do! So, that’s what my podcast is. Each episode I’m going to grill someone interesting. About how they operate and what makes them tick, and hopefully, the result will be a long list of tactics. Things to read, buy, implement, and try. At the end of the day, it’s just me talking to interesting people. We’ll see where it goes. The first two episodes are live. Go watch, and help me spread the word by sharing and leaving a review if you enjoy it. Quote from the podcast episode with Dionne Stephens: "Self-promotion overall is something we have to do in academia, particularly when you are someone on the margins or your work (not just your identity) is on the margins. So even though I am in psychology, for a long time, my work was viewed as not fitting into the norm."
