Success and Its Battles | 2 Samuel 5:17: When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold. Have you heard the saying, "At every new level, there's a new devil to contend with? Indeed, success attracts numerous battles and enemies. As you ascend to new heights in life and destiny, powers will rise up against you. that's why God's method is to prepare you spiritually before promoting you. Many defeats occur because we fail to prepare adequately beforehand. You don't prepare during battles; you prepare before. In today's text, the Bible records that as soon as the Philistines heard that David had been made king, they came for him. Battles will come from expected and unexpected sources, even from those you haven't offended, if you don't know how to fight, you can become a casualty. You must understand that ascending in life means facing and fighting battles. As a believer, you must fight from the place of victory, you don't just engage in battles. You must Strategize to fight from the point of victory, knowing that Christ has already won all battles for you on Calvary. May the Lord teach your hands to fight and cover your head on the day of battle, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Many of us have PAUSED great ideas because of this. I remember the story of Moses in the Bible. He was the definition of God's perfect instrument to lead the next generation of people into the promised land. Irrespective of how God tried to show Moses why he was the perfect candidate, Moses came up with an excuse for his imperfection every single time until God's anger was provoked. There are times when we see ourselves as unworthy and incapable of accomplishing a particular milestone. But truly, the capacity to do that thing might just be inherent within us. Sometimes, the fear of failure and the unknown is what robs us of aiming higher and pushing boundaries in life. Just like Moses who had a rod in his hands but never recognized its relevance, many of us have what it takes to break forth in certain aspects of life, but still can't recognize the efficacy of what we carry within us. This week, I want you to take some time to reminisce on those things you wish to achieve in life and learn to believe in your ability to achieve those things. If you can't convince yourself that you are an achiever, how do you convince the world to see you as such? How do you fulfill your mandate here on earth?
