It is funny how all these great ideas (i.e., self-checkout, home delivery, etc) are all shifting back to the "traditional" retail experience. I think both have their places, but as the article says, "not for everybody" (retailers or consumers). To me, there is something about going into a store and having a nice associate greet you with a smile and engage in a nice dialogue for a moment. It always brightens my day. After waiting for an eternity to get checked out, I decided to simply abandon the line and go to another store to buy what I needed.
