This is how you relate to the other person but may mean you ask how they're doing over a game, whilst grabbing a feed together or out on exercise. It is important to encourage regular check-ups and how you talk about this may include your lived experience of regular check-ups and how it has helped you, talk about healthy habits, and promote mental well-being.
