I’m looking for a role as a Policy Director at a nonprofit that has a focus on marginalized communities

🧐Did you know Vice President Kamala Harris has shared a plan detailing a series of positive policy changes aimed at benefiting black men. As we approach the upcoming presidential election, the policies championed by Vice President Kamala Harris stand out as a beacon of hope and progress for the Black community. Her comprehensive approach tackles systemic barriers and paves pathways for economic empowerment, job creation, and health equity. One of her cornerstone initiatives is the commitment to provide 1 million fully forgivable loans of up to $20,000 for Black entrepreneurs and others historically sidelined by traditional banking systems. By partnering with mission-driven lenders, this initiative will enable aspiring business owners to kickstart their ventures, stimulating local economies and fostering innovation in underserved areas. The agenda emphasizes the need for education, training, and mentorship programs that support Black men in securing rewarding careers. By creating pathways to become teachers and leaders within their communities, she aims to cultivate a new generation of role models who can inspire future success. In today's digital age, ensuring a supportive regulatory framework for cryptocurrency is also essential. Harris champions an approach that protects Black investors and owners of digital assets, enabling them to engage with financial innovation securely. The health disparities impacting Black men cannot be ignored. The proposed National Health Equity Initiative will focus on critical health challenges such as sickle cell disease, diabetes, mental health, and prostate cancer. This initiative underscores a commitment to tackling health inequities, ensuring that all individuals have access to adequate care and resources. Additionally, by advocating for the legalization of recreational marijuana, Harris aims to create opportunities for Black Americans in this burgeoning industry. This approach not only addresses historical injustices but also opens avenues for economic participation in a growing market. The Vice President’s policies extend beyond immediate financial assistance; they include significant structural changes that aim to remove barriers to employment, expand access to banking, and relieve the burdens of medical debt. By investing in grant programs for leadership development and providing reliable internet access, she is reinforcing her commitment to fostering communities that thrive. As we engage in this critical conversation, let us rally behind these transformative policies that not only empower Black men but uplift entire communities. 10-14-24 @ 10:14 PM EST #ChangePolicy

Can we trust her though to make good on her policy promises towards Black men? Harris has said multiple times in her career that policies should be directed towards all Americans not just one group when asked what would she do for Black people if elected. This kind of comments demonstrates her lack of understanding from personal and professional experience, the real barriers that exists for the average black person in this country. Especially for Black men.

Why does every thing need to be about race??? Can’t these people see that the government is not the answer to helping anyone. The person in the mirror needs to get off their backside and make things happen. There is saying “ The Lord helps them who help them selves” These ghettos are the result of broken government promises and people waiting for someone to come and give them government promised money!!!

Is there anyone who believes a plan was thrown together in a week for Black men???😳

Since the Biden-Harris administration had a majority in both houses in 2021 and 2022 anything that is being promised for 2025 could have been done in 2021........ but wasn't.

Civics 101: This all only works if Harris has a congress that believes in the American people. Voting matters.

So, when policy and vision fail, roll out pandering, slander, bribery, and racial discrimination? This plan will never fly in the Legislature and the SCOTUS will boot any executive order into the garbage. This is the same old beacon of enslavement to welfare that the Dems like Hàrris lie about every election. Don't be fooled. For by the work of your hands you shall eat, be honored, and prosper. The Harris plan keeps us angry and separate.

This should be called the “life raft” plan beside that is all it is. She knows that she is polling horribly with African American Men because they see through her line of BS. So, her campaign decides to throw something against the wall to see if it sticks. Why didn’t this happen 1, 2 or 3 years ago if she truly cared about them? Instead, it was all about the border and taking care of illegal aliens getting them shipped to asylum cities with free lodging, meals and prepaid cards. Everyone else got sold out for 3 1/2 years and now the prioroty is different? Too little too late.
