Incredibly fun experience engaging with these bright minds and discussing the key elements that make a pitch deck not only compelling but also effective in demonstrating a healthtech startup’s potential. Excited to see the innovations these future healthcare leaders will develop and pitch! ❓𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 - 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡? This was one of the interesting questions raised by the students. To be honest, I stumbled… Looking beyond the obvious that the solution must exist before you can pitch it, what matters more? The solution itself is definitely important as it is the foundation. If the solution effectively addresses an unmet need and delivers value, it can succeed with a mediocre pitch as long as it reaches the right audience. This is where product-market fit is validated and the solution sells itself. However, at the same time, the pitch is crucial to effectively communicate the value of the solution to stakeholders - investors, customers, or even your own team members. Different stakeholders see the value of a solution differently. A great pitch can elevate a good solution by attracting attention, securing buy-in, and unlock resources and support needed for success. While a poor pitch can cause even the best solutions to go unnoticed. Thoughts? In today’s fast-paced world, if you haven't been working on your idea for at least a couple of years, starting now might not be the best move. But this doesn’t diminish the value of insights. Startups need to internalize this principle. At 4PM Ventures Lab, we focus on helping you place the right emphasis. You already have the knowledge; we’re not here to surprise or intimidate you. However, placing the correct emphasis can save you hundreds of hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars. This week the Lab program featured Future Talks: We started with a visionary lecture by a brilliant expert from the world of business and healthcare, Allan Gobbs , and continued with a strategic session on predicting the future by trends—Rapid Foresight. By the way, Allan is launching a new cohort of courses, “Lead & Invest in Life Sciences From Lab to IPO,” on June 22! Time to learn how to invest in the startups we are developing! Based on global market analytics, we formed six mega-trends and worked with our participants on three of them (guess which ones): 1. Advancements in Diagnostic Technologies and Solutions 2. Increasing Integration and Utilization of Digital Health Technologies 3. Increasing Focus on Mental Health and Well-Being 4. Decentralized and home-based Healthcare 5. Technological Innovations in Aging and Rehabilitation 6. The Emergence and Growth of Personalized Medicine The purpose of this conversation was to update our ideas about the future based on current global trends in medicine, investment, and tech. To understand where each startup is located from this perspective, If you find yourself in the future and are ready, this is proof of the relevance of your project. This is an important argument for financing your project. We've spent many hours making the program sequential and useful to: 1. Moving together. We'll help tune your startup to be understandable to investors based on movement analysis. 2. Learn to present information correctly. It's not just about looking good; it's also about being accurate. 3. We teach you how to sense the market. You'll be able to make the right decisions and avoid the wrong ones. 4. We will help you work with colleagues who are closer to the market.
